This is the project I am currently working on this semester in my ME 440 capstone class. I was a part of the ADAS department (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) of the PSU AVT team (Penn State Advanced Vehicle Team). Our task is to improve a customized 2016 Chevrolet Camero from the past EcoCar3 competition. The ADAS team is working in 2 warning systems, a radar-based, and a camera-based one. This project has been challenging because for every challenge we face, we had to find a solution by ourselves, since our team does not have a mentor. Furthermore, we needed to enhance our self-learning skills, whether it was to learn new programming languages or new software.
